Achim Wieland (artist/designer, director) and Marios Ioannou (actor, director) are the founders of the Theater Collective SRSLYyours. They have collaborated on various stage projects for eight years and their plays, “Woyzeck” and “Fear Industry”, attract international attention.

Their different approaches complement each other just perfect. „Achim always wants me to structure my thoughts but I, in contrast, prefer to work using my impulses. But that really works because he comes from a place where people are able to control their impulses.“ „Our cooperation works because we approach our work so differently. We formulate thoughts in different ways. Marios integrates emotions and he thinks linearly, just as a story-teller would. But I always look for synergies, for new elements. This is what makes our projects so unique, both in terms of content and dramaturgy.“

Both love it when something happens in the room during rehearsals or performances – „we love to create reactions and release inspiration. There are various ways to get there – the intellectual path and the emotional path. I am a traditional actor, my job is it to make people feel.“
