Jorgos Kartakis

born 1963 in Chania (Crete), he studied in Cologne and lives in Chania.

His numerous poems have been translated into Italian and English. He works for the literary magazines Poiein and Fixpoetry and has translated several German-language poets* into Greek.

Awarded the Literature Prize of the City of Chania (1997) and the Literature Prize of the Northern Greek Authors‘ Association (1998).
